Baseball Makes Road Trip To Oral Roberts For Three-Game Stint

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha baseball teams aims to continue its Summit League success with a three-game stint in Tulsa, Okla., against defending Summit League Champion Oral Roberts.
The Mavericks and Golden Eagles square off with a Friday, April 12, doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m., while the second game airs live on ESPN+ with a 6:30 p.m. start time. Saturday's series is scheduled for a 2 p.m. first pitch.
LEADING OFF
• The Mavericks sit atop the league standings with a 12-0 record and have a five-game lead on second-place South Dakota State and a six-game advantage on third-place Oral Roberts.
• Omaha recently saw its six-game winning streak come to a halt at Kansas State Wednesday night.
• Omaha has won 16 of its last 18 games this season.
• The Mavericks head into the game with the nation's best fielding percentage at .983.
• With a 12-0 record in conference play, Omaha joins Xavier (3-0) as one of two teams in the nation that are unbeaten in league action.

The Golden Eagles are coming off a loss at No. 8 Arkansas Wednesday. ORU, the defending Summit League champions, are 14-16 overall with a 6-6 mark in conference action, most recently being swept on the road at Western Illinois.
They are led by senior pitcher Josh McMinn who posts a 5-3 record and a 4.08 ERA. McMinn has also won Summit League Pitcher of the Week honors twice this season. The team is led by seventh-year head coach Ryan Folmar, who has a 215-131 overall record in his career with the Golden Eagles.
Omaha trails the all-time series 20-4 against Oral Roberts, which also includes the Division I era. Last season, Omaha went 2-1 at Seymour Smith Park, but was later on swept in Tulsa, falling 2-4 overall in the series.
