Wilson, Lorentz Earn All-Summit Honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League office announced its All-Summit League awards Thursday night.
The duo of Janelle Wilson and Natalie Lorentz earned all-league honors for the 2019 season.
For Wilson, the honor marks her second straight yearly recognition. The lone senior from Godfrey, Ill., finished 7-15 overall in singles with a 2-3 mark in conference action. In doubles play, Wilson finished the regular season with a 9-5 record and a 1-1 mark in league action. On March 5 of this year, she earned her second career Summit League Player of the Week award for her performance against Chicago State, going 2-1 overall.
Lorentz picked up All-Summit honors for the first time in her young career. The sophomore finished the year with a 5-12 singles record and a 3-2 mark in conference play. In doubles action, she totaled a 5-11 record and anther 3-2 result against league opponents. She started 15 of her 16 doubles matches at No. 1 and won a combined five matches at No. 2 and No. 3 singles this season.
The three-seeded Mavericks take on No. 2 North Dakota in the semifinal matchup this Friday, April 16, at Noon (CST) in Tulsa, Okla. Links to live results and stream can be found on The Summit League Tournament Central Page here.
