Round 1-2 Results

FLOSSMOOR, Ill. – The Omaha women's golf team is in seventh place after the first two rounds of the Loyola Fall Invitational on Monday at the Flossmoor Country Club.

The Mavericks, playing in their first team tournament of the fall, shot team rounds of 337 and 327, giving them a total of 664 for the first 36 holes of the 54-hole tournament.

Drake leads the nine-team field with a score of 617. South Dakota is second, just two strokes back, and Creighton is third at 627.

Zora Gittens leads the Mavericks in scoring after the first day, carding rounds of 86 and 77 for a total of 163. The sophomore is tied for 20th in the field of 53 golfers.

Hannah Hunke is second on the team and tied for 24th with a score of 165. She shot an opening round of 79 and came back with a score of 86 in round two.

Samantha Chong is one stroke back at 166 after shooting rounds of 85 and 81. Illinois native Mandi Granato, playing in her first collegiate tournament is tied for 37th overall with a score of 170. She fired rounds of 87 and 83.

Cassidy Ulrich, also playing in her first tournament after redshirting last season, is at 185 with scores of 93 and 92 to put her 49th.

Newcomer Izzi Puk, a Millard West product, shot 188 playing as an individual.

The final round begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
