Mavericks Tied For 11th at Northern Iowa

BURLINGTON, Iowa – The Omaha women's golf team sits in a tie for 11th place at the MVC Preview hosted by Northern Iowa.
The Mavericks shot team scores of 334 and 317 over the first two rounds of the 54-hole event at the Spirit Hollow Golf Course. They are tied with Summit League neighbor Western Illinois at 651. Host UNI leads with a score of 621. Missouri State is second at 628, one stroke ahead of Drake in third.
Hannah Hunke led the Mavericks on day one with rounds of 78 and 80 to put her at 158. She's in an eight-way tie for 17th in the field of 95 players.
Samantha Chong is second on the team and tied for 29th overall with a score of 160. She carded rounds of 83 and 77. Mandi Granato is tied for 47th at 164. Her day featured rounds of 83 and 81.
Zora Gittens is fourth on the team with scores of 90 and 79 for a total of 169. She's tied for 65th. Cassidy Ulrich rounds out the team scoring with a total of 189.
Izzi Puk, playing as an individual, shot 186 through the first two rounds.
The final round begins Tuesday at 8 a.m.
