Final Results

BURLINGTON, Iowa – The Omaha women's golf team came in 12th at the MVC Preview hosted by Northern Iowa on Tuesday at the Spirit Hollow Golf Course.

The Mavericks closed the 54-hole event with a team score of 331 to finish at 982. Host UNI won the tournament with a team score of 942. Missouri State and Drake tied for second at 950.

Senior Samantha Chong and freshman Mandi Granato tied for the team scoring lead with matching totals of 243. Granato closed with a team best of 79 while Chong carded an 83. They finished in a tie for 33rd in the field of 95 golfers.

Hannah Hunke was third on the team and 37th overall with a score of 244. She shot 86 on Tuesday. Teammate Zora Gittens finished in a tie for 61st after shooting 83 in the final round for a total score of 252.

Cassidy Ulrich completed the team scoring with a total of 295.

Izzi Puk, playing as an individual, finished in a tie for 91st with a score of 279.

The Mavericks are on the West Coast next week to take part in the Rose City Collegiate hosted by Portland State on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
