Mavericks Seventh at Portland State

AURORA, Ore. – The Omaha women's golf team shot its lowest team round of the young season, helping it hold down seventh place after the first two rounds of the Rose City Collegiate hosted by Portland State.
The Mavericks shot a team score of 300 in the second round which gave them a total of 613 through the first two rounds of the 54-hole event at the Langdon Farms Golf Club. Their second-round total was 17 strokes better than the previous best.
CSU Fullerton leads with a score of 585. Portland State is second at 594, and Seattle is third at 599.
Hannah Hunke leads the Mavericks in scoring and is tied for 13th overall in the field of 70 golfers with a total of 151. She opened with a score of 77 and came back with a career-best round of 74.
Zora Gittens is tied for 19th, just one shot back of Hunke at 152. She carded back-to-back rounds of 76. She's one stroke ahead of Samantha Chong who is tied for 24th after shooting scores of 80 and a one-over 73, the best individual round on the team for the tournament.
Mandi Granato is fourth on the team at 157 after shooting rounds of 80 and 77. She's tied for 39th. Cassidy Ulrich completed the team scoring with a two-round total of 183.
The final round begins at 9:45 a.m. CT on Tuesday.
