Omaha Releases 2022 Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha women's coach Adam Summitt has released his schedule for the 2022 season.
The Mavericks open with three home matches, and a road contest at Milwaukee, in late January. Their season begins with a matchup with Minnesota State on Jan. 21. Consecutive home dates with Northern Iowa and Wichita State on Jan. 29-30 follow the road contest with Milwaukee on Jan. 23.
Omaha has nine home matches during the season before it hosts the Summit League Championship on April 22-23. All home contests in January and February will be at the Miracle Hill Tennis Center. Those later in the season, beginning with the Oral Roberts match on March 26, are at the Koch Tennis Center.
"[We are] really looking forward to this spring," Summitt said. "We have a great schedule lined up with some challenging opponents that will push us and teach us how to win.
"We have a deep lineup this year. And with the amount of matches we have, we will be in a good spot if players go down with injuries or need rest. I know the ladies have a lot to prove and are just as excited to get going."
The Mavericks will have 10 matches under their belt by the time they open Summit League play at reigning conference champion Denver on Feb. 26. Their first home league contest is the one with ORU.
Omaha will have seven Summit matches in all, as the league welcomes newcomer St. Thomas. The Mavericks will face the Tommies for Senior Day on April 2.
