Mavericks Complete Two Rounds at MSU in Day Cut Short

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Omaha men's golf team is currently tied for 14th at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate hosted by Missouri State on Monday.

Because of slow pace of play, six teams did not complete the second round, leaving places to be determined headed into the final round on Tuesday. Those six teams will conclude their unfinished rounds before beginning the third round with the other 12 teams in the field.

The Mavericks shot 305 in the first round and then recorded a team score of 292 in round two, putting them at 597.

Mathew Halvorson leads the Mavericks in scoring after two rounds, shooting a four-over round of 75 in the first round and coming back with a one-under 70 for a total of 145.

Josh Peters is second in team scoring at 147. He shot 76 and then an even-par total of 71 through the first two rounds.

Josh Bartels came in at 151 through 36 holes with rounds of 76 and 75. That put him four strokes ahead of teammate Noah Hartman who shot 79-76 for a total of 155.

Jacob Zerby was one stroke back at 156 after shooting matching rounds of 78.
