OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha baseball team fell 15-2 vs. Creighton at Tal Anderson Field on Saturday afternoon.
The loss drops the Mavericks to 3-5 on the year while the Bluejays improve to 4-2.

The Mavericks and Bluejays wrap up the three-game series tomorrow afternoon at Tal Anderson Field with first pitch set for 1 p.m.

How It Happened
- Freshman Mike Boeve hit the first homer for the Mavericks in the new ballpark with a solo shot in the first inning to give Omaha a 1-0 lead.
- After five innings of a one-run game, the Bluejays took a 5-1 lead with five runs on a pair of hits in the sixth.
- CU piled onto the lead with an eight-run eighth inning to grow the lead to 13-1.
- Chris Esposito reached on an infield single in the eighth before racing home on a wild pitch for Omaha's second run of the day.
- The Bluejays added two more runs in the ninth to clinch the series victory.
- Ryan Doran and Breyden Eckhout led Omaha with two hits each.
- Spencer Koelewyn fell to 0-1 on the season after allowing three runs on four hits and striking out five in 5.1 innings of work.
- Josiah Scott and Easton Smith tossed the next two innings in relief while Tanner Howe and Henry Ristvedt teamed up to pitch the final 1.2 innings.
- The Maverick pitching staff combined to hit seven CU batters.
