OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team will compete in the Beu Mussatto Invitational at Western Illinois on Sunday and Monday, April 4-5.
The Mavericks will play 36 holes on Sunday and 18 on Monday at the Harry Mussatto Golf Course in Macomb, Ill. Play begins at 8:30 a.m. each day.
In its last event, UNO took 14th place at the Diane Daugherty Invite hosted by Southern Illinois on Tuesday. The Mavericks finished the 54-hole tournament with a score of 980.
Jinna Boonbumroongsuk was UNO's top finisher with a score of 239, ending up in a tie for 35th in the field of 90 golfers.
Zora Gittens was second on the team and tied for 53rd overall with a score of 244. She finished three strokes ahead of teammate Mika Miyata, playing her first tournament of the spring, who posted a total of 247 that was good for a tie for 61st.
Mandi Granato was fourth on the team with a total of 252 to tie for 74th, and Hannah Hunke finished the scoring for UNO with a total of 257.
After play at Western Illinois, the Mavericks return home to host The Stampede at The Creek on Monday and Tuesday, April 12-13.
