OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha baseball team fell 10-4 vs. North Dakota State on Sunday afternoon at Tal Anderson Field.
The Mavericks drop to 10-14 (5-3 Summit League) on the season while the Bison improve to 18-8 (7-5).

The Mavericks travel to South Dakota State for a weekend series with the Jackrabbits next weekend on Friday-Sunday, April 9-11 in Brookings, S.D.

How it Happened
- Masen Prososki opened the scoring in the bottom of the first with a solo homer to left, his second long ball of the season.
- The Bison tied it up in the third on a sacrifice fly before solo home runs in the fourth and sixth inning gave the Bison a 3-1 advantage.
- Mike Boeve and Prososki began the bottom of the sixth with back-to-back singles through the right side while Parker Smejkal's RBI triple brought the two Mavericks home to tie the game up at three.
- The Mavericks grabbed a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth when Keil Krumwiede drew a walk with the bases loaded to plate Chris Esposito.
- NDSU stormed back with seven runs on four hits and two Omaha errors in the top of the ninth to clinch the 10-4 victory and split the series.
- Prososki, Esposito and Jack Lombardi led the Mavericks with two hits each.
- Smejkal drove in a team-high two RBI while Prososki led Omaha with two runs.
- Starter Mark Timmins threw six innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out four batters.
- Harrison Kreiling and Tanner Howe combined to toss the next two innings in relief.
- Josiah Scott fell to 2-1 on the year after allowing four runs in 0.2 innings and Krumwiede recorded the final out in relief.
