OMAHA, Neb. – Head women's soccer coach Tim Walters has announced the signing of Megan Nemnich. The Wildwood, Missouri native will join the squad in the fall of 2021.
"We are really excited to finally get Meg up to Omaha to be a Maverick," said Walters. "I've been a fan of hers for a number of years now, and she is a fantastic player who can control the tempo of the game with her passing, vision, and movements. She's a big time competitor who is going to be a great addition to an already very competitive group."
Nemnich is a redshirt-freshman transfer out of Memphis. She previously played for the St. Louis Scott Gallagher ECNL club team, which is the same team current defender Margaret LaVigne played for under coach Ralph Richards. She prepped at the US Training Centers in Columbia, Missouri. While with ECNL, Nemnich was named a player to watch and a team captain.
Nemnich attended Lafayette High School in Wildwood, Missouri, the same as coach Walters.
"I'm really excited to join the program," said Nemnich. "I have grown to have a great relationship with the coaches over the past few months and think the program and team is going to be the best fit for me."
