OMAHA, Neb. – Ed Gordon is tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-District for the third time in his career, CoSIDA announced Thursday morning. The senior midfielder previously earned the honor in 2018 and 2019.
Gordon is the first player in program history to earn the honor three times in his career.
The Omaha native boasts a 3.89 GPA as a business administration major. In addition to his CoSIDA award, Gordon was named a Summit League Academic All-League Team member in late May. It also marked the third consecutive honor for Gordon.
Gordon is a three-time Summit League Honor Roll honoree and a Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence member to round out his career academic awards.
On the field, Gordon played in 11 matches this spring and made four starts. He logged over 500 minutes on the pitch for the Mavericks, including a season-high 93 minutes at Oral Roberts in Omaha's 2-1 overtime win. Gordon finished the season with two shots and one shot on goal and was named a team captain.
