Mavericks Finish Penultimate Event Of Fall

Jonesboro, Ark.- The Omaha women's golf team finishes the Lady Red Wolves Classic in 15th place after the final round on Tuesday,Â
The Mavericks posted a team score of 311 in the third round to end with a total of 911. Omaha finished nine strokes ahead of Stephen F. Austin, who takes 16th place with a three-round total of 920.Â
Sydney Taake led the Mavericks with a two-day score of 225. The sophomore earned 43rd place after a 77 (+5) in the final round. Nicole Hansen was just one stroke behind Taake, earning 53rd with a total score of 226. The graduate student posted a 76 (+4) in round three.Â
Mika Miyata ends with a total of 231, and Macarena Garcia ends with 234. Miyata recorded an 81 in the last round, while Garcia shot an 82. Golfing individually in this event, Emma Kirvan used a 76 (+4) to end with a three-round score of 237. Freshman Emily Karmazin was right behind Kirvan with a total of 238 after a 77 (+5) in the third round.Â
The Mavericks wrap up the fall season with a trip back to Missouri State, this time for the Ozarks National Invitational on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, Oct. 31-Nov. 2.Â
