
Mavericks Take Tenth At South Texas Showdown

McAllen, Texas- The Omaha women's golf team takes 10th place at the South Texas Showdown, hosted by Texas-Rio Grande Valley.
The Mavericks scored 317-313-317 in three rounds for a total team score of 947.
Mandi Granato finishes in 11th place on the leaderboard, scoring 229(+13). The junior scored 74(+2) in round one and 76(+4) in round two, adding a 79(+7) in round three.
Sydney Taake ends the invite in a tie for 42nd place after scoring 83 in the third round on Tuesday. The freshman scored 77(+5) and 80(+8) in rounds one and two, giving her a total of 240 throughout.
Emma Kirvan scored 83 in the final round, tying Taake in on the leaderboard in 42nd. The freshman finishes the invite with a total score of 240.
Mika Miyata scored 84, and Jinna Boonbumroongsuk shot 75(+3) in round three. Miyata finishes with a total score of 248, and Boonbumroongsuk ends with 242. Boonbumroongsuk ties for 47th place and Miyata takes 62nd overall.
The Mavericks head back to Texas for the third-straight tournament, this time at the HBU-Husky Intercollegiate. Action from Houston starts at 8:15 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, March 14-15.
