Women's Soccer Hosts Nebraska for Exhibition

OMAHA, Neb. – The Mavericks open 2022 action at home with an exhibition vs. Nebraska this Sunday. The Mavericks and Huskers kickoff at 6 p.m. at Caniglia Field. It will be the first time both teams take the field after reporting to their respective campuses last week.

Last season, Nebraska posted a 7-9-2 overall record with a 3-5-2 finish in the Big Ten. - Jordyn West and Grace Thede return to the Omaha defensive line, while Grace Ostergaard, Sophia Green, Cece Behrens, Emilie Erland, and Marissa Gohr fill in the remaining line-up.
- Behrens earned All-Newcomer honors last season after posting three goals on 12 shots over 17 starts.
- Green led the Mavericks with six goals. She finished the season with one assist.
- Ostergaard was tabbed to the All-Summit Second team. She tallied one goal and three assists in 2021.
- Eleven newcomers join the 2022 squad. The incoming class is made up of 10 freshman and one sophomore transfer.
- Beginning this season, if the score at the end of regulation is 0-0, the teams will earn a draw in their record. Overtime will no longer be played in the regular season.

- Reagan Raabe led the Huskers with 17 points last season. She notched seven goals and three assists.
- Eleanor Dale started in 17 matches last season totaling 16 points on seven goals and two assists. She scored a career-high two goals twice last season and was a 2021 Preseason Player to Watch.
- In goal, Sami Hauk made 10 starts and posted a 3-4-2 record on the year. She made 42 saves earning a .778 save percentage. She finished with a 1.19 GAA after giving up 12 goals in 2021.
