
Mavericks Complete First Two Rounds in Texas

Sugar Land, Texas—The Omaha women's golf team currently sits in 14th place after the first two rounds of the HCU Husky Invitational on Monday, Mar. 13.
The Mavericks scored 321 as a team in the first round, improving to 315 in the second. Omaha totaled 636 over 36 holes, and sits seven strokes behind Appalachian State, which holds thirteenth place with 629.
Mika Miyata led the Mavericks through the first two rounds. Miyata shot a 76 (+4) in round one, and a 77 (+5) in round two for a total score of 153 on Monday. Miyata sank a team-high four birdies over 36 holes and currently shares 24th place on the leaderboard.
Nicole Hansen and Emily Karmazin both scored 162 on the first day. Hansen shot a 77 (+5) in the first round, and Karmazin shot a 78 (+6) in the second round.
Macarena Garcia totaled 165, and Sydney Taake scored 166 through two rounds. Garcia is tied with Miyata after recording four birdies over 36 holes.
