
Mavericks Ready for Final Round in Sugar Land

Sugar Land, Texas-- The Omaha men's golf team currently shares ninth place after the first two rounds of the Colin Montgomerie Invitational on Monday.
The Mavericks recorded scores of 291 in the first and second rounds for a day-one total of 582. They sit three strokes behind Stephen F. Austin, which holds eighth place with 579. Southeastern Louisiana leads the event with a two-round score of 562.
Mathew Halvorson leads the Mavericks after day one. Halvorson scored an even 72 in both rounds, taking a share of 22nd place overall. Connor Wilson is one stroke behind Halvorson and in 35th place on the leaderboard. Wilson recorded an even 72 in the first round, and a 73 (+1) in the second.
Kurtis Rodriguez shares 39th place with a two-round total of 147. Rodriguez scored 74 (+2) in round one, and 73 (+1) in round two. One stroke behind Rodriguez is Nolan Johnson. Johnson sits in 43rd place after a 75 (+3) and 73 (+1) in the first and second rounds, respectively. Josh Peters is tied for 63rd place with a total score of 182 so far. Peters shot a 73 (+1) in the opening round, and a 79 (+7) in the second round.
