Jessica Aragon and Zoe Adkins have earned All-League honors for the 2023 tennis season.
Aragon landed on the 2023 All-League Women's Tennis Team while Adkins was named to the All-League Women's Honorable Mention Team.
During the regular season, Aragon led all Mavericks with 12 singles victories this season. She has also tallied eight doubles victories on the season. All 12 of Aragon's victories came at the No. 1 singles slot. Last weekend, Aragon went 2-0 last weekend helping the Mavericks triumph 4-3 in a must-win match against South Dakota. The Plano, Texas native won her doubles set 6-2 and then defeated her opponent in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 1 singles slot. She was named the final TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Tennis Peak Performer of the Week for the regular season because of her undefeated weekend.
Adkins tallied the second most singles victories behind Aragon going 10-8 in the regular season. Adkins also added six doubles victories during the 2023 campaign. As a doubles pairing, Aragon and Adkins went 2-2. Adkins, a Maple Grove, Minnesota native played at the No. 2 singles spot for the majority of the season. All 10 of her victories came at the No. 2 singles spot.
"I'm really proud of Jessica and Zoe this year. As both first year players, they came in and excelled right away," Omaha head coach Adam Summitt said. "To be rewarded with All-Conference nods is something to be proud of. I'm even more excited we get these players for another year together as they can achieve a lot more."
Aragon, Adkins and the rest of the Mavericks have a date with the Denver Pioneers in the opening round of the Summit League playoffs that get underway tomorrow from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
