Fidler Earns First Career Player of the Week Honor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Frankie Fidler was firing on all cylinders last week as he caps off 2023 and the opening week of conference play by earning his first career Summit League Peak Performer of the Week award of the season.
Fidler led the Mavericks with 59 points across two games against Denver and South Dakota last week, shooting 17-for-30 (.567), including 5-of-11 (.455) from deep, and going 20-for-22 (.909) from the stripe. He also recorded seven steals and seven rebounds, as well as four assists and a block.
In the 2023 home finale vs. Denver, Fidler had his first 30-point game of the season, going 9-for-15 from the field and 11-for-13 on free throws for 32 points. He tied his career-high with four steals in the game. Then, in a New Year's Eve victory at South Dakota, he topped 20 points for the fifth time this year with 27, thanks in large part to a perfect day at the charity stripe (9-for-9). Fidler ended the week with 1102 career points, placing him 25th on Omaha's all-time scoring list.
