Zoe Adkins named Kwik Star Women's Tennis Singles Peak Performer of the Week

OMAHA, Neb. – Junior Zoe Adkins has been named the Kwik Star Women's Tennis Singles Peak Performer of the Week for her Feb. 18-24, the Summit League announced today.
Adkins was a key piece in the program's first-ever victory over Creighton on Sunday evening.
"Proud to have Zoe named singles player of the week," head coach Adam Summitt said. "She truly earned it. Zoe consistently shows up every day in every match and competes at the highest level. She has some true grit, as she was not 100 percent this past week and played through it to beat an excellent Creighton player. Her win helped put a stamp on the team's first-ever victory over crosstown rival Creighton."
The Maple Grove, Minn., native won the No. 1 singles match 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 over Creighton's Philippa Roy to help the Mavericks clinch the win.
Adkins also came from behind to win in doubles with senior Paula Arcarons over Creighton's Bianca Rademacher and Valerie Negin.
The pair trailed 4-5 but won the final three games to take the 7-5 victory.
Adkins now has two weekly honors from the Summit League as she was named Peak Performer of the Week on April 2, 2024.
The week six honor marks the Mavericks' first women's tennis honor of the season.
Omaha travels to Colorado this week and faces off against Air Force on Saturday, March 1, at 11 a.m. CT in Colorado Springs, Colo. On Sunday, March 2, the Mavericks make their way to Denver for a Summit League matchup with Denver at 11 a.m. CT.
