OMAHA, Neb.- The Mavericks completed their first series sweep of the season today as they walked off Northern Colorado for the second time this weekend in a 6-5 win.

Omaha improves to 8-17 with a 3-6 record in Summit League play, while the Bears drop to 8-18 with and are now tied with the Mavericks with a 3-6 conference record.

Innings 1-3
The Bears were the first to get on the board in the top of the second as they quickly loaded the bases and plated three runs on a walk, a single, and a wild pitch. After starting pitcher Ben Weber rebounded by retiring the side in the next inning, the Mavericks made it a one-run ballgame in the bottom of the third as Tyler Bishop hit his second two-run double in as many days and came around to score on a single from Mason Gaines.

Innings 4-6
Weber tossed another scoreless inning in the top of the fourth before the Mavericks tied the game in the bottom of the inning. Following a lead-off walk from Tyler Palmer, Cardel Dick bunted one down the line that took an awkward bounce away from the pitcher and put runners on the corners, allowing Drew Borner to bring Palmer home on a fielder's choice.

In the fifth, Weber would finish off his day with his third-straight 1-2-3 inning. The next inning, though, UNC retook the lead on after the lead-off batter reached on an error and later came around to score on a wild pitch.

Innings 7-9
Carter Mick worked a scoreless top of the seventh with a pair of strikeouts, before being replaced by Luke Gainer with one out and two on in the eighth. Gainer immediately got a ground ball and a looking strikeout to keep it a one-run game. Gainer remained sharp in the ninth as he retired the side in order, recording two more strikeouts.

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Henry Zipay laced a single to right and then advanced to second after the second UNC error of the inning on a ground ball from Bishop. Gaines managed to tie the game with a single to left, before the Bears once again loaded the bases with an intentional walk to Jackson Trout. This move would backfire though as the next batter, Palmer, drew a walk-off walk to win it for Omaha.

Inside the Box Score
- Five Mavericks had a multi-hit game today, including Bishop and Gaines who each went 2-for-5 with two RBIs.
- Weber struck out four batters today to give him a team-high 24 on the season.

The Mavericks begin the second week of their homestand next Wednesday at 6 p.m. when they host Nebraska in a makeup of their game originally scheduled for March 4.
