OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Women's Tennis dominated its home tournament with only one match lost.
The Mavs went 12-1 in singles and 3-0 in doubles against South Dakota, Creighton and Northern Iowa.
Junior Katelynn Kock (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), freshman Kaelyn Le (Bentonville, Ark.), junior Cat Rhegness (Ottawa Hills, Ohio) and Kerrigan Spiers (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) all went undefeated with Le, Rhegness and Spiers not dropping a set.
Kock played a pair of three-set matches, but battled to the end in each to secure the wins.
"It was great to play here in Omaha and get some quality matches in," head coach Adam Summitt said. "It was perfect weather for us and the team took advantage of it. We were dominant in doubles from the start. Singles was very clean. We've had some up and down moments from the other two fall invites. This was nice to see us getting better, especially against teams we'll face in the spring. For a majority of the team, this was their last event until January. We have a lot of work to to do prepare for our first dual match."
