OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Volleyball fell, 3-1, to Kansas State on Saturday afternoon in Baxter Arena.

The Wildcats (8-0) won the first set 25-20 after fighting through 12 tie scores. The Mavericks (6-4) took the second 25-11, but Kansas State won the third and fourth sets 25-16 and 25-15 to seal the match.

Freshman Dara Obeid (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) surpassed the 100-kill mark after totaling 13 to lead Omaha in the match. She is up to 105 through 10 games. Obeid finished the match with four assisted blocks.

Graduate outside hitter Madi Corf (Kansas City, Mo.) finished the match with 11 kills and sophomore outside hitter Faith Venable (Lincoln, Neb.) tallied 10. Venable also crossed the 100-kill threshold for the season. She hit 108 in 10 games to bring her career total up to 392.

The Mavericks close conference play with a winning record for the first time since 2019. They'll open Summit League play on the road with a match at North Dakota at 6:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, Sept. 24 and at North Dakota State at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 26.
