Mavs, Kammrad Face Augustana Test This Week
The Mavericks will try to get back on track this week as they resume North Central Conference action Saturday at Augustana. Senior tailback Justin Kammrad, who has had six straight 100-yard rushing games, needs just 59 yards to become the 10th player in school history to rush for more than 1,000 yards.
Kammrad led the Mavs last week with 144 yards on 23 carries. He goes into Saturday's contest with 941 yards.
UNO last week suffered its second loss of the season and its first in NCC play in a 34-7 setback at North Dakota State. The Mavs are now 5-2 on the year and 2-1 in the NCC and have slipped to No. 18 in the D2Football.com poll.
The game will be broadcast on the Maverick Football Network, with Kevin Kugler and former UNO All-American Adam Wright calling the action. Air time is at 12:30 p.m. on KKAR, 1290 am in the Omaha area and on KJSK, 900 am in the Columbus, Neb., area.
