Mavs Host Augustana in Final Dual Meet Friday
The Mavericks close their dual meet season Friday at Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse with a 7 p.m. meet against North Central Conference rival Augustana. The teams met earlier this year in the finals of the NWCA National Dual Meet, with UNO claiming a 20-18 win for the title.

The Series
UNO holds a 22-9 lead in the all-time series with Augustana. UNO defeated the Vikings 20-18 on Jan. 23 for the championship of the NWCA National Dual Meet Tournament. UNO won last year's match with the Vikings, 17-16.
The Coach
Mike Denney is in his 26th season as the Maverick head coach. The Dakota Wesleyan graduate has a 252-100-5 career mark. He has twice been named the NCAA II National Coach of the Year and led the 1991and the 2004 Mavericks to NCAA II national championships.

UNO scored dual meet wins over St. Cloud State (42-3) and No. 2 ranked Minnesota State (25-10) to improve to 9-1 on the season. The Mavs captured nine of 10 matches against the Huskies.
Looking Ahead
The Mavericks will wrestle in the NCAA II North Central Regional Tournament in Marshall, Minn., on Sunday, Feb. 27. The meet is a qualifying tournament for the NCAA II nationals, which will be Mar. 11-12 in Sapp Fieldhouse in Omaha.
