Masek, Denney Sparkle in Scrimmage
Senior quarterback Brian Masek drove the No. 1 offense 70 yards in nine plays for the only touchdown in a 60-minute scrimmage at Caniglia Field.
Masek hit senior wide receiver Chris Denney with a 25-yard scoring pass in the end zone. Denney caught three passes in the scoring drive and four on the day for 64 yards.
Masek completed 9 of 11 passes for 133 yards on the day and five for six on the drive.
Sophomore tailback Nate Wurth led all ball-carriers with 46 yards on 14 attempts.
The Mavericks will resume practice on Tuesday afternoon.
