Football Gazette Tabs Randall Jantzen for 1st Team
Senior offensive guard Randall Jantzen has been named a first-team All-American by The Football Gazette, while teammate senior tight end Zac Herold was selected to the second-team.
In addition, junior quarterback Zach Miller and junior offensive tackle Ben Hochstein earned honorable mention by the publication.
Jantzen is the third Maverick this year to earn first-team All-American honors. Earlier, Hochstein was named to the Associated Press and D2Football.com All-America squads, and Herold was named to the D2Football.com team.
Jantzen, from Plymouth, Neb., was a two-year starter and a three-year letterman for UNO. He was an all-North Central Conference selection this year.
