Pankoke Earns 2nd NCC Honor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - For the second time this season, Brent Pankoke has been named the North Central Conference Wrestler of the Week.
Pankoke, a sophomore from Beaver Crossing, Neb., improved to 19-3 on the season by picking up a pair of wins as the Mavericks swept No. 3-ranked Central Oklahoma and No. 4-ranked Nebraska-Kearney.
On Friday night he defeated fourth-ranked Heath Jolly of Central Oklahoma 6-1 and followed that up with a 6-4 win over Nebraska-Kearney's Paul Sutton on Saturday.
Nebraska-Omaha, ranked No. 2 in NCAA Division II, is now set for a showdown with No.1-ranked Minnesota State on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sapp Fieldhouse. This is a rematch of the National Dual meet championship where Minnesota State won the last match in overtime to come out with an 18-16 victory.
