Miller, Souder Earn MVP Honors at Football Banquet

OMAHA, Neb. - Zach Miller was named the offensive most valuable player and Jeff Souder the defensive MVP at the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s annual football team banquet held at Qwest Center Omaha on Jan. 17. It was the second straight year that both players had won those team awards.

The event, attended by 330 people, was sponsored by the UNO Beef Club.

Also for the second straight year, Souder won the Tom Hutchison Award as the team’s most enthusiastic player. Jeff Finochiaro won the Carl Vittitoe Leadership Award.

Outstanding player awards by position were handed out to the following players:
