Mavs Win First Desert Duel

LAS VEGAS, NV - The University of Nebraska-Omaha men's basketball team defeated Tarleton State 73-60 in the first day of the High Desert Classic on the campus of UNLV on Saturday.
The 14th-ranked Mavericks improved to 10-1. The Texans fell to 6-2 on the year.
UNO led by as many as 21 points in the first half and carried a 36-24 lead into halftime.
Abdul Mills paced the Mavs wtih 17 points, while Calvin Kapels and Andre Tarpley added 12 points each.
The Mavs will take on No. 9 Rollins on Sunday.
