Three 2nd-Half Goals Lead Mavs to Win Again

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The Mavs used three second-half goals to defeat St. Cloud State 3-1 Saturday afternoon in an NCC matchup as they won their ninth straight game. No. 7 UNO improved to 9-1-0 and 5-0-0 in the NCC as it scored three times in the second half for the third straight time.
After being down at halftime, sophomore forward Brandie Beale opened up UNO's scoring on a pass from junior forward Beth McGill. Amber Richardson then got the game-winner unassisted and freshman midfielder Amanda Iwansky got the third score.
The win kept the Mavs in a tie for first place in the North Central Conference with the Mavs of Minnesota State. UNO will play at Augustana October 14 as it finishes a five-game road trip.
