Curtis Shares NCC Honor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Turner Trofholz of South Dakota and Ryan Curtis of Nebraska-Omaha have been named the North Central Conference Players of the Week.
Curtis, a junior forward from Omaha, turned it up a notch when he scored 17 points in two overtime periods against Minnesota State. He hit all six of his field goals and five of six free throws during that period. The win gave UNO the CC title. For the week Curtis averaged 17 points and six rebounds while shooting .684 (13-19) from the field.
Trofholz, a junior forward from Schuyler, Neb., averaged 22.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in wins over Augustana and St. Cloud State that helped USD to the second seed for the Wells Fargo Finals. Trofholz shot .556 (20-36) from the field while hitting 5 of 6 free throws.
