Mavs Return Home to Face NWMSU, MSU

After playing 16 of their first 17 matches on the road, the 21st-ranked UNO Mavericks (12-5/1-3) will return home this week when they entertain Northwest Missouri State (8-12) in a non-conference match at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3. The Mavericks will then resume NCC action on Saturday when they host Minnesota State, Mankato (12-6/2-2) at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7.

The Record
The Mavericks are currently 12-5 on the season and 1-3 in the North Central Conference after splitting a pair of conference road matches last weekend. North Dakota defeated UNO 24-30, 33-31, 26-30, 30-28, 15-11 on Friday night. The Mavericks then rebounded for a 30-21, 30-27, 30-24 victory over St. Cloud State on Saturday for their first NCC win of the season.
The Rankings
In the CSTV/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 poll released on Oct. 2, Nebraska-Omaha was ranked 21st. Minnesota Duluth is the only other NCC school ranked as they enter this week's competition at No. 5.
