McCawley Named 3rd-Team All-American

Senior Dani McCawley was named to the NSCAA/adidas Division II third-team All-America squad. McCawley and three teammates were also named to all-Central Region teams by the coaches' association.
McCawely, the North Central Conference's most valuable player, scored 8 goals and added 3 assists for 19 points for the Mavericks. She was also named to the first-team all-region squad, while juniors Tara Wegehaupt and Casey Bigsby were second-team all-region and senior Brandie Beale was third-team all-region.
Bigsby, with 10 goals and 4 assists, and Beale, with 7 goals, 10 assists, led the team in scoring with 24 points. Wegehaupt had 1 goal and 3 assists for 5 points.
All four were also named to the all-NCC first team.
The Mavericks finished the season 14-6-1 and had an 11-match unbeaten string end with a national quarterfinal loss to Grand Valley State.
