LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Omaha golf team posted another wire to wire win, besting a field of ten other teams to win the Nebraska Wesleyan Fall Invitational. The Mavericks finished with a team total of 636 to edge runner-up Truman State by three strokes.

Junior #Erin Ommen# led the way in day two of the tournament. She shot 77 today to finish with a score of 158, good for fourth overall. Sophomores #Amy Powell and Dani Suponchick# each shot 79 today. Powell had 159 for the tournament while Suponchick had 160. Junior #Abbey Weddle shot 81 on Monday to finish at 161 while freshman Rebecca Pollock# finished strong with a 79 to card a two-day score of 165. Ommen, Powell, Suponchick and Weddle finished 4-5-6-7 overall while all five UNO golfers placed in the top ten.

Kelli Baseley of Dakota Wesleyan University was the top overall individual with a tournament score of 154.

Following the Mavericks and Truman State, Dakota Wesleyan finished third with a team score of 667. The Mavericks finished their fall season with three straight wins. Coach #Tim Nelson's# team also posted a second, third and fifth place finish.
