Ommen Repeats as MIAA Golfer of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Senior #Erin Ommen# was named the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association women's golfer of the week. It's the second time she's earned the honor this spring.
Ommen led the Mavericks in scoring by six strokes during the two-day Tarleton State Spring Classic and posted the low round for the team with a four-over par 76 on each day. The native of Omaha finished eight-over for the tournament. It was the fourth time in four tournaments this spring that she posted UNO's top score or tied for the top spot. Ommen finished in a four-way tie for eighth overall.
For the 2009-10 season, Ommen leads the Mavs with a scoring average of 78.1. She has posted five top-ten finishes in nine events this season.
The Mavericks will defend their 2009 MIAA Championship on Monday and Tuesday, April 19 and 20 at the Tiffany Greens Golf Club in Kansas City.
