The UNO women's soccer team returns to the pitch this week after an 18-day layoff. On Thursday, the Mavericks travel to Macomb, Ill., to take on the Western Illinois Leathernecks of The Summit League. The Mavs then return home for the final home game of the season on Saturday afternoon. UNO hosts former MIAA foe Washburn on Senior Day at the UNO Soccer Field at 12 p.m. Attendance for Saturday's game is free for everyone and local youth clubs in attendance will be recognized. The Mavs will also honor their three seniors before the game - Hilary Jackson, Maggie Olson and Hayley Renshaw.

Head Coach: Tony Guinn (5th year)
2011 Record: 7-8 (1-5-0 Summit)

Series Record: First Meeting
The Leathernecks are 7-8 overall and 1-5 in The Summit League this season. Western Illinois is coming off a 2-1 overtime loss at Oral Roberts. The Leathernecks started the year 6-2 but have lost six of their last seven. Amber Davis and Miranda Graham each have a team-high three goals on the season. Trisha Quinn has chipped in one goal and a team-best three assists. Goalkeeper Victoria Kappel has played every minute for the Leathernecks and has a 1.79 goals against average.

Washburn is 1-11-2 overall and 1-4-1 in the MIAA. The Lady Blues are winless in their last seven games (0-6-1). Washburn's lone win was a 2-0 victory over Fort Hays State on Sept. 17. The Lady Blues are 0-6-1 in road games this season. Only two players for Washburn have accounted for the team's six goals on the year. Leah Talley has four, while Caysie Beetley has the other two. Megan Buckely has a team-high three assists this season.
The Coaches
Don Klosterman is in his 13th year as the head coach of the UNO Mavericks. The only head coach in the program's history, Klosterman has a 196-58-12 record, just four wins from number 200 in his career at UNO. The two-time national coach of the year has led the Mavericks to the Division II national semifinal four times, culminating in the 2005 NCAA Division II national championship. Under Klosterman, the Mavericks are 19-7 all-time in NCAA Division II tournament play and have won six conference titles. Klosterman formerly served as the head men's soccer coach at Benedictine College (1979-83) and Creighton (1984-86). He graduated from Benedictine in 1974.
Tony Guinn is in his fifth season as the head coach at Western Illinois. Guinn is 49-33-10 at the helm at WIU. He is 79-53-14 in eight years as a head coach. Guinn graduated from Carthage College in 1989.
Tim Collins is in his ninth season as the head coach at Washburn. Collins is 77-70-28 as the head coach of the Lady Blues. He graduated from Ottawa University (Kan.) in 1991.
Free Admission For Last Home Game
The UNO Mavericks will play their third and final home game on Saturday against Washburn. In honor of it being the last home game of the season and senior day, admission will be free for all fans. Youth club players will be in attendance and will be recognized during the game. Free hot dogs will be available for all fans as well.
Senior Send-Off
Saturday's game will be the final one played at home for UNO's three seniors - Hilary Jackson, Maggie Olson and Hayley Renshaw. The three Maverick seniors will be honored prior to kickoff. Jackson and Renshaw have started all 11 games for the Mavs this season. Jackson has a team-high two assists and was UNO's leading scorer last year with six goals and three assists. Renshaw has been a mainstay at center back for the Maverick defense. Olson has appeared in every game and had the tying goal in an exhibition game against Creighton.
