UNO makes a road trip to North Dakota this weekend to face both North Dakota and North Dakota State. On Friday, the Mavs take on North Dakota in Grand Forks. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. Then on Sunday, the Mavs face defending Summit League Tournament champion North Dakota State in Fargo. That match will begin at Noon. Live stats will be available for both matches this weekend. A free audio broadcast will be available for Friday's match at North Dakota, while a live webcast (payment required) will be available for Sunday's match at North Dakota State. North Dakota started the season with two wins in its first three games, but the Fighting Sioux are winless in their last four, including being outscored 14-1 in their last three games. North Dakota lost 5-1 at South Dakota State last Sunday. Rachael Loomis is the top scorer with eight points (3g, 2a). Rhaya Ballon has two goals on the year.

North Dakota State is coming off the 2010 Summit League Tournament championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance. The Bison were bounced out of the tournament in the first round by Texas A&M on penalty kicks. This year, North Dakota state is off to a 4-2 start with losses to California (7-0) and Idaho (3-2). The Bison are led by Morgan DeMike, who has three goals and one assist. Katie Tallas also has three goals for NDSU.
The Coaches
Don Klosterman is in his 13th year as the head coach of the UNO Mavericks. The only head coach in the program's history, Klosterman has a 195-54-12 record, just five wins from number 200 in his career at UNO. The two-time national coach of the year has led the Mavericks to the Division II national semifinal four times, culminating in the 2005 NCAA Division II national championship. Under Klosterman, the Mavericks are 19-7 all-time in NCAA Division II tournament play and have won six conference titles. Klosterman formerly served as the head men's soccer coach at Benedictine College (1979-83) and Creighton (1984-86). He graduated from Benedictine in 1974.
Kristen Gay is 16-43-3 in her fourth season as the head coach at North Dakota. Gay has a career record of 43-55-5 in six seasons as a head coach. Gay graduated from Nebraska in 1999.
Pete Cuadrado is 82-60-16 in his ninth season as the head coach of North Dakota State. Last year, he led North Dakota State to the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Cuadrado graduated from TCU in 2000.
Last Time Out
The UNO women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 match at Seattle Pacific on Saturday night. The Mavericks fell to 2-2-2 on the season. Seattle Pacific improved to 3-1 on the year.
The Falcons jumped on the Mavericks in the 21st minute on a 20-yard blast by Heather Young that deflected off the right post and went in.
Seattle Pacific built the lead to 2-0 in the 27th minute when Josie Graybeal scored to the upper left corner from 12 yards out. The Falcons added one more before halftime when Brandi Hamre picked out the upper right corner from 16 yards out in the 40th minute.
In the second half, Young scored her second goal of the game off of a header in the 54th minute, then Kellie Zakrzewski finished from 15 yards out to make it 5-0 in the 66th minute.
UNO was outshot 20-9 by Seattle Pacific, and 10-3 in shots on goal.
