NSCAA Team Academic Awards
The Omaha women's soccer team received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for 2011-12 after posting a cumulative GPA of 3.46, the top GPA among all Division I women's soccer programs in the state.
To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). The Mavs have earned the award every year since 2002.
Both the Maverick men's and women's teams received the award, making UNO one of just four Summit League institutions to have both soccer teams recognized.
