Omaha Opens Three Game Home Stand

The Omaha women's soccer team opens a three game home stand on Sunday, October 19 against Summit League foe South Dakota State. Game time is scheduled for noon at Caniglia Field on the Omaha campus.
The Teams
Omaha (3-9-2, 1-0-2 Summit League) went 0-1-1 in a pair of games last weekend. On Friday, the Mavericks tied Summit League opponent North Dakota State 1-1 in double overtime. Hannah Wampler scored on a penalty kick for the lone UNO goal. On Sunday, Omaha stepped out of conference play against Drake University in Des Moines. The Mavs dropped a 2-1 decision in overtime. Chelsi Rohloff scored for Omaha in the second half.
South Dakota State (7-5-1, 3-0-1 Summit League) went 1-0-1 in Summit League play over the weekend. On Friday, the Jackrabbits tied Fort Wayne 3-3 in double overtime. Lauren Kressock, Tori Poole, and Diana Potterveld scored for SDSU. SDSU defeated Oral Roberts 3-0 in Brookings on Sunday afternoon. Nicole Hatcher, Diana Potterveld, and Shelby Raper each had a goal in the win.
Series History
Sunday's match in Omaha will mark the eighth meeting between the Mavericks and the Jackrabbits. UNO leads the series by a 4-2-1 margin. Last season in Brookings, SDSU defeated Omaha 1-0 on a goal by Darci Miller.
Scouting the Mavericks
The Mavericks have played four straight overtime games. They are 1-1-2 in those games. Offensively, Omaha is led by Chelsi Rohloff. Scouting the Jackrabbits

Teammates Shelby Raper and Alyssa Brazil each have five goals. Raper has added three assists, while Brazil has dished out two assists. Tori Poole and Madison Yueill each have chipped in two goals.
Elisa Stamatakis and Nicole Inskeep have split time in goal this season for the Jackrabbits. Stamatakis has a 5-2-1 record with one shut-out. She has a 1.44 goals against average and a .618 save percentage. Stamatakis ranks fifth in the Summit League in goals against (13) and goals against average (1.44). Inskeep is 2-3 on the season with a .621 save percentage. She also has a 2.60 goals against average.
