Rostampour Signs Professionally With BC Prievidza

OMAHA, Neb. -- Former Omaha men's basketball player Mike Rostampour has signed a contract to play professionally for BC Prievidza, it was announced this week. BC Prievidza is a basketball club in the Slovak Extraliga, the highest professional league in Slovakia.
Rostampour, a forward from West St. Paul, Minn., was a two-year starter and a three-year member of the Omaha program from 2012 to 2015. As a senior, he was named All-Summit Honorable Mention and averaged 10.2 points and a team-best 7.7 rebounds per game. Rostampour also led the Summit League in offensive rebounds and ranked second in the conference for rebounds per game and total boards.
Rostampour graduated with his bachelor's degree in criminology and criminal justice from UNO in December 2014.

"It's a tribute to the hard work and dedication that he's always shown, especially in his three years as a Maverick.
