Omaha Returns Home for a Pair of Matches

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's tennis team returns home after a month away for a pair of matches on Saturday, April 2. The Mavericks take on Northwestern (Iowa) at 12:30 p.m. and College of Saint Mary at 2:30 p.m. at Miracle Hill Golf and Tennis Center.
Omaha is coming off of a pair of victories at Grambling State on March 23. Omaha took the matches 5-0 and 5-3 to improve to 7-8 (0-1 Summit League) on the season.
Juniors Hylan Miller and Kenzie Hill and freshman Janelle Wilson each have six singles wins to lead the Mavs this year. In doubles, Miller and sophomore Michelle Lo pace Omaha with an 8-2 mark.
Northwestern enters the weekend with a record of 2-6 after going 0-4 on their Florida spring break trip, March 7-11. The Red Raiders are led by Valerie Robinson, who is 4-4 on the season, primarily playing out the No. 2 singles spot. Saturday marks the first meeting between Omaha and Northwestern.
College of Saint Mary is 3-4 (0-1 GPAC) on the season after defeating Bethany College 9-0 on March 29. The Flames are led by Christina Ternent, who is 6-1 on the season. Saturday's matchup is the first between Omaha and CSM.
UNO returns to action next weekend, traveling to Denver, Colo., for a Summit League tilt at Denver and a neutral-site contest with Colorado State. Both matches are set for Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
