Mavericks Travel To Missouri State

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team returns to action at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial hosted by Missouri State on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 11-12.
The Mavericks will be teeing up in their second tournament of the season. They're coming off a fifth-place finish at the UNO Invitational on Sept. 1-2.
Senior Megan Vetrovsky led the Mavericks in their season-opening event with a score of 228, good for eighth place. Going back to last season, it was the 11th time in 12 tournament that she had led the Mavericks in scoring. She did not play in the other.
Sophomore Sami Langford, playing as an individual, had a career-best 54-hole score of 236 at the UNO Invitational and finished in a tie for 24th. Jordan York was one stroke back at 237, putting her in a tie for 28th, and freshman Hannah Hunke had a good debut, shooting 241 to finish in a tie for 36th.
The Mavericks will be going up against 14 other teams at Missouri State with Summit League foes South Dakota and South Dakota State, and Omaha neighbor Creighton among the teams set to participate.
The tournament begins with 36 holes on Monday beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday, also at 8:30 a.m. The event will be played at the Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield, Mo.
