Mavericks Back In Action in Texas

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team gets back to work at the UT Rio Grande Valley Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, March 5-6 at McAllen, Texas.
The 54-hole event at the McAllen Country Club begins with 36 holes on Monday and concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday. Play begins both days at 8:30 a.m.
The Mavericks tied for 37th in the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic in South Carolina last week. It was their spring season opening tournament. They shot 953 for the three-round tournament in a huge field of 43 teams.
Jordan York was UNO's leading scorer with a three-day total of 233. She finished in a tie for 113th in the field of 216 golfers.
Mandy Boyle was second on the team and tied for 137th with a score of 236. Sami Langford tied for 158th overall with a score of 241.
Megan Vetrovsky was fourth on the team with a score of 243 to put her in a tie for 169th. Hannah Hunke closed out the scoring for UNO with a score of 262.
Following play in Texas, the Mavericks will have a week and a half off before traveling to Arizona for the Red Rocks Invitational hosted by Northern Arizona on March 24-25.
