OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team heads to Nebraska City on this weekend for the Summit League Championship at ArborLinks.
The 54-hole tournament will feature three 18-hole rounds on Sunday-Tuesday, April 22-24 beginning at 8 a.m. each day.
The Mavericks enter the tournament with a 321.6 stroke average in 10 tournaments this year. They were picked to finish seventh in the championship in the annual preseason coaches' poll.
Senior Megan Vetrovsky leads the Mavericks in scoring with a stroke average of 79.8, putting her 26th in the league.
The Mavericks are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Kansas City Intercollegiate at UMKC on April 2-3.
Vetrovsky led the team in scoring at UMKC with a score of 158, good for a tie for 24th place.
Samantha Chong was second on the team and in a tie for 34th overall at 161.
Sami Langford was third for UNO and tied for 42nd overall with a score of 165 while Jordan York posted a total of 167 to put her in a tie for 46th overall.
Mandy Boyle closed the team scoring for UNO with a final score of 169 for the tournament.
Hannah Hunke, playing as an individual, shot a final total of 165, good for a tie with Langford for 42nd.
