DES MOINES, Iowa – For the second consecutive season, sophomore Tabitha Allberg netted the game-winning goal vs. Drake as the Frisco, Texas, native tapped in the golden goal in the 96^th minute off a corner kick to give the Mavericks a 1-0 win on Tuesday night.

The victory pushes Omaha to 2-6-1 on the season while the Bulldogs drop to 3-6-1.

How It Happened

The Mavericks and Bulldogs played an even first 45 minutes while both teams attempted five shots apiece.
The Drake offense benefited with the wind at its back in the second half as the Bulldogs recorded an 8-2 advantage in shots over UNO in the second half.
Bailey Cascio's attempt to play the ball into the box from the left side was blocked by a Drake defender and deflected out of play, causing a Maverick corner kick.
Thiem played the corner kick into the middle of the box where a crashing Allberg deflected the ball into the lower right corner of the box for the second overtime road victory of the season.
