Fort Collins, Colo.- The Omaha women's golf team is in 15th place after day one at the Wollenberg-Ptarmigan Classic at Colorado State Monday, Oct 18.Â
The Mavericks are one of six teams that finished both rounds. The other eleven teams will finish round two tomorrow before the third round starts. Nevada currently sits in first place with a team score of 573, followed by Colorado State with 577. Omaha ends day one with a team score of 622.Â
Mandi Granato finishes day one in a tie for 22nd with a total score of 148. The junior leads the Mavericks after shooting 73 and 75 in rounds one and two, respectively.Â
Jinna Boonbumroongsuk is tied for 55th overall, and second on the team with a score of 155. The sophomore shot 75 in the first round and 80 in the second.Â
Sophomore Mika Miyata ends the first two rounds with a score of 159, and freshman Sydney Taake is just one stroke behind her with 160. Miyata shot 83 in round one and 76 in round two, and Taake shot matching 80's.Â
Freshman Emma Kirvan shot 86 in the first round and 83 in the second for a day one total of 169. Â
Golfing individually, Maddie Simon finishes the first day with a score of 177. The freshman shot 86 in round one and 83 in round two.Â
The Wollenberg-Ptarmigan Classic continues with round two action at 9 a.m. MDT Tuesday, October 19.Â
The third and final round will begin after all individual scores are confirmed. Â
