OMAHA, Neb. – Fresh off a bye week, the Omaha women's golf team returns to action at the Diane Daugherty Invite hosted by Southern Illinois on Monday and Tuesday, March 29-30.
The Mavericks will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday from the Greenbriar Hills Country Club in Kirkwood, Mo. Play begins on Monday at 8:30 a.m. and on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Omaha last played on March 16, finishing in sixth place at the MSU Spring Invitational at Missouri State. The Mavericks posted a total score of 1,014.
Zora Gittens led the Mavericks in scoring and was 19th overall with a total of 247. She was three strokes ahead of teammate Jinna Boonbumroongsuk at 250.
Hannah Hunke was third on the team and tied for 28th overall with a score of 257. Mandi Granato finished in 32nd place, posting a three-round total of 260.
Izzi Puk was fifth on the team and 36th overall with a score of 273, and Brynn Sundquist finished the scoring for the Mavericks at 279.
After play this week, the Mavericks will join the men's team for the Beau Mussatto Invitational at Western Illinois on Sunday and Monday, April 4-5.
