KIRKWOOD, Mo. – Freshman Jinna Boonbumroongsuk leads the Omaha women's golf team through the first two rounds of the Diane Daugherty Invite at Southern Illinois on Monday.
Boonbumroongsuk shot rounds of 77 and 82 for a total of 159 that has her in a tie for 33rd in the field of 90 players from 16 teams.
The Mavericks are 14th with a team score of 651. They shot 316 in the first round and came back with a score of 335 in round two. Â
Arkansas State leads in the team standings with a 36-hole score of 605. Illinois State is second at 614, and Bradley is third at 617.
Zora Gittens is second on the team and tied for 46th overall with a score of 162. She opened the tournament with a round of 80 and shot 82 in round two.
She's one stroke ahead of teammate Mika Miyata who shot 79 and 84 for a total of 163, good for a tie for 54th.
Mandi Granato posted cards of 80 and 87 to put her at 167 and in a tie for 71st.
Hannah Hunke finished the scoring for the Mavericks with rounds of 85 and 89 for a total of 174. She's tied for 82nd.
The final round begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday from the Greenbriar Hills Country Club.
